Art Multimédia
Hypnotic and magnetic immersive installations
‘Focus’ is a series of kinetic light sculptures that plunge the viewer into an artistic space where light, movement and perception merge into an immersive sensory experience. Each sculpture, centred on a focal point, creates an intimate dialogue with the immaterial, a subtle encounter between matter and energy. Drawing on natural elements such as water, fire and sky, these works transform organic images into vibrant abstractions.
The play of light and variations in movement give these art forms a three-dimensional aspect, transporting the viewer into another reality, where the perceptible and the imperceptible merge. This multimedia art process integrates different forms of expression to enrich the sensory experience, offering a reflection on the frontier between contemporary art research and science based on studies in neuroscience, linked to my explorations in hypnosis and meditation.
The two-phase experiment protocol
1) Video phase : The viewer is invited to focus their gaze on a central point, discovering images and movements that transform and metamorphose as the light intensifies. This phase explores visual concentration and the effects of perceiving movement through the screen.
2) Lighting phase : : At this point, the eyes can be open or closed. The emphasis is on sensation, on how the viewer can perceive and feel the pulsations of light. The flow of light becomes a vector of transformation, offering a new perceptual dimension to this artistic creation, which is no longer simply observed, but experienced bodily. Two variants are available: the light video version (with eyes open) or the light projection version (with eyes closed), allowing the immersive experience to be deepened through different sensory modalities.
Two phases: 1) video 10 min + 2) lighting 10 min (video or light projector)
Hypnotic multimedia art: synchronised light and sound vibrations
The interaction of symmetrical movements of concentration and expansion creates a breathtaking, almost organic visual harmony. Light and movement synchronise, generating a fluid, continuous pulse that mimics the rhythms of the human body. Through this visual dynamic, the installation invites viewers to enter into a light trance, to feel the vibrations of the space while being in tune with their own internal sensations.
The addition of the sound dimension, with electronic waves, low frequencies and reworked recordings of my voice and breath, amplifies this immersive experience of multimedia art. The sound composition becomes an extension of the light movements, creating a sonic harmony that gradually guides the viewer towards a climax of sensory intensity. The fusion of light, sound and movement creates a space where the viewer loses all sense of time and space, surrendering to a hypnotic and magnetic plunge.
An interactive and alchemical process
In this way, ‘Focus’ becomes an interactive, alchemical process, a hypnotic, constantly evolving multimedia art experience that goes beyond mere aesthetic contemplation. This composition of light and movement invites a connection between the work and the viewer, where art is not limited to a visual object, but becomes a space for sensory and introspective exploration, in the tradition of certain contemporary art artists. Like the installations of Rafael Lozano-Hemmer, who uses technology to create visual and sonic interactions with the viewer, ‘Focus’ engages the viewer in a process of transformation, merging physical and perceptual reality in a hypnotic and magnetic space.
